When planning an outdoor event there are special considerations that must be considered that aren’t relevant when your event is indoors.

You may want to hold your wedding at a park or on the beach in a remote location. A cave wedding would be quite memorable for the adventurous types. Hot air balloons, rodeo settings, and expansive wildflower gardens have all had special events held there. As you might imagine though, there will be special challenges to deal with. Think of the sun’s position and what you’ll need to seat the guests. Shade or shelter from rain may be necessary. The sanitation needs will also be important so check to see if it is available, or if you must provide portable toilets and hand washing stations. If that is the case, don’t forget to provide these things for the crew doing the setup and takedown of the equipment.

Noise is something to think about. If you are holding a wedding at a beautiful park that has a railroad thoroughfare beside it, find out what the rail schedule is so that there is no 20 minute freight train rolling through right about the time you are being wed by the preacher.
