Catering Venues for Outdoor Affairs

That’s entirely possible, especially if you find a good caterer with flexibility for unusual venues.

Outdoor events are more common now than they once were, and the equipment you can readily rent will prove that. The old gigantic circus tent with red stripes has been replaced with rental tents of very subtle colors and fabrics. They have much more class than a plastic circus tent, which is what you’ll want if your event is a sophisticated or formal affair. Of course, children’s events may still warrant the circus tent look.

Some of the loveliest places on earth may hold much natural beauty, but depending on what you plan to do at the event, there are other considerations. You may need electrical power adequate to accommodate everything you will be setting up, proper restroom and washing facilities and perhaps dressing rooms for the wedding party if you are planning a wedding.

While electrical power can be brought in with generators, you might not want their noisy motors to be part of your celebration. In that case it would be better to find an equally natural and beautiful location that can provide outdoor power. Lighting will be important if your event will go into the evening hours. As lighting creates incredible ambience, you can create a wonderful atmosphere, but think of the electrical concerns.

Insect and weather control will need to be considered. If insects are a problem where you plan your event, rent tents that have mosquito screens to help keep the bugs out. Sun can be almost as annoying as rain if the conditions are very hot and dry. You’ll want a place for guests to get into the shade. A wedding will be much nicer without a wilting bridal party standing in the direct sunlight at noon when it’s 90 degrees.

If your affair must be outdoors, choose a caterer that does outdoor events and work together to make a memorable day.
